Idaho’s Luckiest St. Patrick’s Day Run/Walk (Now in our 5th year!)
The Shamrock Shuffle is a St. Patrick’s Day Run / Walk that begins in Marsing Island Park with the hauntingly beautiful sounds of an authentic, local bagpiper to really get you in the St Patty’s mood. The course takes you over the gorgeous, historic Snake River Bridge and then leads you through the peaceful, scenic Snake River Canyon wine region where you’ll take in wide vistas of Idaho’s pristine countryside on a PR-worthy, mostly flat course where you can see Lizard Butte and the mighty Snake River.
You’ll enjoy well-stocked aid stations with fruit, candy, pretzels or GU, Gatorade and water every couple of miles served by our enthusiastic. cow-bell ringing Final Kick volunteers.
Your race will finish back at Marsing Island Park where you’ll receive rousing cheers at the finish line (where many, including your race directors will be in St Patty’s costumes) and receive a custom medal around your neck for your accomplishment (every finisher at Final Kick Events races receives a medal – with the longer distances receiving the biggest medals of all.)
After your race, join in the after-party to celebrate St. Patrick’s day in style with a complimentary Sockeye green beer (for those 21 and over) served in your custom Shamrock Shuffle glass (0r enjoy green fruit punch served in a custom tumbler for those who do not drink alcohol or are underage) while enjoying fruit, cookies and goodies until the awards ceremony where you might find you’ve won an age group award ribbon to take home to show off! Don’t forget to pose for great pictures with your friends and family because all photos taken at Final Kick Events races are shared with you for free later on at www.freeracepictures.com so you’ll be able to have some great mementos to remember your race with (and to share on Facebook or Instagram) later on!
So, let’s enjoy the luck ‘o the Irish together and celebrate Idaho style at the Shamrock Shuffle! Leprechauns and other green St. Patrick’s inspired costumes are encouraged!
This year’s event will be taking place at Marsing Island Park
Wishing you a rainbow
For sunlight after showers—
Miles and miles of Irish smiles
For golden happy hours—
Shamrocks at your doorway
For luck and laughter too,
And a host of friends that never ends
Each day your whole life through!
